Edmonton's Muse

I met Jessi at the recent Musical Mama's CD Launch last weekend (see last post here) We were both scurrying after our toddlers when we pretty much bumped heads realizing our kids were the same age at 16 months. Being a new mom we instantly hit it off but she was leaving so I had to invite her over! We had so much to talk about and of course my girl needed some pal time too because lately I've noticed just how much interaction my second child doesn't get with kids her own age! Better late than never right!

As owner slash founder of The Edmonton Muse, an online community resource that is giving local gems in this city a platform to support each other, and I'm not just talking about local musicians. She's been involved with and a big supporter of the arts scene over the years and now plans to give back providing a spotlight to the many local artists and businesses that locally sometimes don't get the attention they deserve.

After we had a cuppa and chatted for over an hour about everything babies, tantrums, rashes, sippy cups, scheduling, lack of sleep, you know the normal stuff, I thought I'd do a little video for my blog (none of which are prerehearsed or planned) asking her to describe her latest project and a threw in a few questions of my own as I get to know her a little better...oh and my girl Sophie wanted to entertain us a little. Love her.
