THE SOFA SESSIONS

I'll be starting a series called the "Sofa Sessions" where I'll be sharing new songs and having guests to perform! I had a little visit with my good friend and local country music singer-songwriter Andrea Nixon yesterday and she wanted to show me her rendition of the song "Angel from Montgomery" that Bonnie Rait recorded (written by John Prine) so I grabbed the guitar and played along. We thought we'd record it and perhaps share. It was very impromtu, not rehearsed and we had the kids in the background but hey we were in our happy place for a few minutes and it was fun! I used to sing this song when I had my band only I sing the Susan Tedeschi version which is sang very differently. Maybe I'll do a cover of my version here soon for ya'll if you want! Let me know!
